Located in the heart of Downtown San Diego in culturally historic neighborhood, Barrio Logan, our studio is available for private creative projects, photo sessions, events, and meetings. Rentals are available for both vanilla and kink projects, events, and sessions. Ready to make a reservation?

  • Pick your date + time in our booking calendar here to hold your reservation with a $100 non-refundable retainer.

    1. The retainer will reserve your date and will be deducted from your total rental cost

Reservations require 10 days advanced request and are required to sign a waiver of liability, contract, and payment in full to complete. Each reservation must have their own liability insurance that covers the details of their reservation. We love kids, but our studio is only available for adults and we have a minimum age requirement of 18+.

About the studio

The Rope Collective is a multi-purpose use space centering creative and communal experiences available to the general public and private clients. The space is available for rental by the hour, half day, or full day. Our studio is an open floor layout with an urban-industrial design including brick walls, cement floors, and exposed pipes + beams that can support a variety of needs for individual usage to small to medium groups.

The Studio includes 1 bathroom, a shower, a kitchen with stove + mini fridge.

Spaces available for Rent

Studio rentals include access to the main room, lounge, bathroom, and kitchen only. We have 2 private practitioner rooms that are not included in general rentals. Inquires on this space will be assessed case by case and may be available with an additional fee.

Rental Inclusions

We have a small selection of some basic items that you may request access to use during your rental such as folding tables, chairs, floor pillows, dishes, etc. Please include in your rental request form what items you would like to utilize and we can include this in your contract.

Rental options + pricing

Hourly rentals:

  • $150/hour

  • $50 cleaning fee

Half Day Rental (4 hours)

  • $400 for up to (4) hours

  • $100 cleaning fee

  • Each additional hour is $100/hour

Full Day Rental (8 hours)

  • $1,100 for up to (8) hours

  • $100 cleaning fee


Add ons:

Book a Practitioner:
We have a variety of add ons that you can book through The Rope Collective to enhance your experience. Our practitioners offer private + group sessions, lessons, and photo shoots and can be booked upon request and availability.

Practitioner add on + private events are available starting at $175/hour per practitioner with a (2) minimum. If you’d like to book a private event hosted by The Rope Collective, please visit our Private Events page.

Furniture + Staging:
We can also include staging, a variety of furniture and decor, and some equipment for an additional $100 per booking.

Production/Event Assistance:
If you need assistance with styling, staging, hosting, or logistical/operational navigation of your event, we can assign you a personal host to help create a unique experience for your event. PA’s are available starting at $50/hour with a 3 hour minimum.

Terms and Conditions

Age Limits:

You must be 18+ to make a reservation and all attendees must be over 18 to enter the studio. You will be required to submit a non-refundable retainer to reserve your request and this will be deducted from your total rental costs. You must sign a contract agreement and settle your invoice in full at least 72 hours before your reservation start time to access the studio. If your payment and contract have not been received, we will release your reservation. Photo identification is required to verify age.

Reservation cancelations, no show, rescheduling policy:

We do not provide refunds for studio rentals or reservations. However, with a 72 hour notice, we will be able to consider rescheduling your reservation to a future day and time within 90 days with a credit. All credits must be used within 60 days of payment and any credit unused after 60 days will not be returned or available for future use. We have a no call, no show = no refund, no rebooking policy.

Space limitation:

We do not hold a food and beverage or liquor license and if you’d like to serve food, beverages, or alcohol, you must abide by California laws and limitations. If this is required for your event, please contact us before submitting your $100 retainer as it is non-refundable.

Our spacial capacity is limited to 10-12 people for movement events, 20-30 people for workshops, and up to 50 people for social gatherings. If you have a group exceeding this size or a request outside of this, please contact us to ensure our space will be the right fit for you.

Sexual conduct, solicitation, and activities:

This is a non-sexual space and sexual activities are prohibited inside The Rope Collective studio, within our building, in the parking lot, in your car on the premises, or anywhere surrounding the building. We are restricted by California laws and full nudity is not allowed. Private bookings can submit details of session and request permission for specific projects and we have the right to refuse any idea.

Noise and spacial awareness policy:

Please respect our inside and outside neighbors. We ask that you keep your noice to respectable volumes for shared spaces and if you are desiring to host a party or music-centric event.

Please review our House Rules and Code of Ethics and make sure that you and your guests are utilizing the space ethically and consensually.
